What if I have to cancel or postpone?

It is obviously nice to get all your money back if no service has been rendered. But your deposit initially insures the day from us being able to take other business so if we lose your custom we make a loss. Therefore cancellations less than 14 days before the event cannot be refunded.
Postponed events are acceptable as long as they don't conflict with events on the new date.

What will I receive?

Although shot on HD (High Definition) camera's the DVD’s included in the package are standard definition DVD’s for universal playback. 3 DVD's are included.
For additional €20 you can also get your Wedding Movie on USB for playback on all computers, laptops and majority of Flatscreen TV with USB option (certain models)

Do you charge a travel fee?

If the wedding destination is more than 80 miles away from our home we charge additional €50 travel fee, otherwise no travel expenses included.

How do you work with the photographer?

We have worked with dozens of photographers and we are well versed in how to work around them during their photo sessions. When the photographer is doing their work, we drop back and work around them. We never get in their way. We understand that you paid them to get a job done. So our wedding videography services will not conflict with the work of any other vendors at your wedding.

Who owns the copyright?

Under Irish and EU copyright law, the copyright in the images & footage taken on your wedding day belongs to Mark. However, despite owning the physical media doesn't mean automatic right to use those pictures!

("Usage" and "Ownership" are two very different matters. You can own images, but not have the right to use them. You own the rights to yourself, but unless you have a legal access to the copyrighted work, you can't use them either.)

It is on this ethical & legal basis that Mark would request permission to use your pictures for promotional purposes only.

How long does it take to get my USB/DVD's?

Normally between 2-3 months. At our peak time it might take 4 to 6 months. These are just estimates and sometimes we can provide your video sooner depending on workload. Editing, Rendering, Credits, Music, Soundtracks, DVD menu authoring and encoding is all very time consuming and even one small change can cause the process to be redone before burning the DVD's.

How much are extra DVD's?

All DVD's come with personalise menu, inlays, disc images printed onto the DVD and beautiful customised DVD covers printed on photographic machine paper for colour fastness over the years. Additional DVD's are €20 if ordered with your package or €25.00 at any time after your event.

If your disc becomes unreadable, scratched or the image damaged sent your faulty disc back to Moriyama Productions, Rossbrin Cove, Schull, Co. Cork for a free replacement!!

Do we need to provide a meal for the videographer?

Given that the videographer and assistant will typically be around for 10 to 14 hours, it is politely requested that bar food is provided by the couple. A sit down meal with the guests is NOT required. Normally the videographers will eat in a bar or restaurant adjacent to the main function room while the guests are eating. The vast majority of reception venues will already be well accustomed to serving bar food to the official videographer.

What music do you use?

For the montage we buy specially produced royalty free songs because it's against the laws to use copyrighted material. Recording music in the background of your ceremony, reception, first dance and the like will only be heard by yourselves, family and friends and probably falls under "fair use" of the copyright law.
